Working Principle
- Driven by a worm - gear transmission device, the rotating shaft and the butterfly plate rotate to achieve opening, closing, and flow control. Rotating the handwheel of the worm - gear transmission device clockwise closes the valve, thereby achieving the purpose of opening, closing, and regulating the flow.
- There are micro - switches set inside the box of the worm - gear transmission device. There are two types: one is that there are two micro - switches for the opening and closing directions set inside the transmission device box, which act respectively when the valve is fully open and fully closed, connecting to the "valve open" and "valve closed" indicator light sources in the control room, so as to accurately display the valve opening and closing status.

Technical Requirements
- Valve Body Part: For example, when using a handwheel or handle for operation, its connection with the valve shaft should be firm and reliable; when facing the end of the handwheel, turning the butterfly plate clockwise should be able to achieve closing; the handwheel should be cast or marked with an arrow indicating the closing direction and the word "Close"; all butterfly valves should have an indication device for showing the position of the butterfly plate and a limit device to ensure the butterfly plate is in the fully open and fully closed positions.
- Signal Valve Part: It should be equipped with a device for outputting "on" and "off" electrical signals. When the inlet pressure of the signal valve is constantly 0.35MPa, during the process of the signal valve closing from fully open, when the contact that outputs the "on" signal (valve open) is converted to output the "off" signal (valve closed), the flow at this conversion point should be greater than or equal to 80% of the fully open flow.
Installation Points
- The connection type of the valve should be consistent with that of the pipeline.
- For valves installed on pipelines with one - way medium flow, the arrow direction on the valve body should be consistent with the pipeline water flow direction.
- When the valve is installed horizontally, the valve cover and valve stem should face upward; when installed vertically, the valve cover and valve stem should face outward.
- The valve should be provided with a support, and the weight of the valve should not be added to the pipeline.
